part of my collection, seen in a glass ball

Most of the instruments shown in this website are from my vast collection of over 250 different plucked stringed instruments.

Many of the instruments were bought during my travels (as a tourist) to many far away places (yes indeed, I could make another large website with stories and photos of those travels....).
Another large source has been via searching the internet for shops selling special instruments, and of course also by keeping a watchful eye on sites like eBay.
The first option means carrying the instruments sometimes for the whole trip, and home on the plane; the second means paying quite a lot for the shipping cost.

For many years all instruments were in one room and hanging in such a way that they could be seen individually. However in 2011 we reached the point, that shifting up some instruments to make space for a new arrival, was getting impossible : all gaps were filled. So I had to use a spare room and made special guitar racks, to stand the guitars sideways - safe and compact, but unfortunately you can see only the sides. Nevertheless the other instruments (especially the long necks) are still presented in the original way.
